Since then, ZBiotics’ business has continued to grow rapidly year over year, and in 2024 we launched our second product: ZBiotics® Sugar-to-Fiber, an engineered probiotic that creates fiber in your gut using sugar you already eat, contributing to microbiome health.

As we expand into new products, audiences, and channels, this role leads the digital strategies that power our brand, drive our revenue, and connect customers across every touchpoint. You’ll help shape how a biotech company becomes one of the most trusted and loved consumer brands in the world—building sustainable systems for acquisition, retention, and innovation.
About the Role
The Sr. Director of Digital Growth Marketing drives customer growth across all digital channels—from DTC and Amazon to digital activations that support retail expansion. You’ll oversee acquisition, retention, forecasting, and media strategy; manage agencies and cross-functional partners; and lead a high-performing internal team. You’ll also champion the adoption of AI, automation, and analytics to build a smarter, more personalized marketing engine.
This is a high-impact, strategic role for a leader who can balance analytical precision with creative collaboration—someone as comfortable optimizing CAC and LTV as aligning growth strategy with brand vision.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership
- Build and lead a high-performing, motivated, and collaborative team that delivers results and grows together.
- Model ZBiotics’ management principles through open-communication, trust, and autonomy to help make this the best job of your team’s careers.
- Balance hands-on execution with strategic oversight across programs.
- Source and manage external partners that expand team capabilities.
- Present quarterly growth marketing goals and plans to leadership and the company.
Commitment to Growth
- Own and optimize ZBiotics’ growth strategy across acquisition, retention, loyalty, and advocacy.
- Drive progress toward company growth goals with energy, creativity, and transparency.
- Forecast, budget, and plan marketing’s digital media mix to achieve efficient, scalable growth.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner closely with Brand, Creative, Ecommerce and Retail teams to ensure alignment across all marketing efforts.
- Support retail expansion through digital campaigns that build awareness and drive velocity.
- Bridge creative and analytical disciplines to develop a strong test-and-learn loop that produces campaigns that both perform and inspire.
Innovation and AI Adoption
- Champion the use of AI and automation tools that enhance audience targeting, creative testing, and performance insights.
- Build frameworks for experimentation and continuous learning across channels.
- Stay ahead of emerging trends and technologies to keep ZBiotics at the forefront of digital marketing.
Data-Driven Analysis
- Lead full-funnel performance analysis to identify patterns, opportunities, and insights.
- Apply a scientific mindset to growth: test, measure, iterate, and scale what works.
- Build dashboards, processes, and reporting systems that improve decision-making.
- Collaborate closely with Data and Insights teams to connect analytics, automation, and experimentation with overall growth strategy.

Must-haves:
- Proven success leading DTC and Amazon growth for a high-growth consumer brand.
- Strong analytical and strategic planning skills; fluent in forecasting, modeling, attribution, and data-driven decision-making.
- Experience managing agencies and cross-functional teams to deliver integrated campaigns.
- Familiarity with AI or automation tools that improve marketing efficiency or personalization.
- Exceptional communicator who leads with collaboration, empathy, clarity, and accountability.
Nice-to-haves
- Hands-on experience running and scaling digital and partnership channels (Meta, Google, Amazon, TikTok, podcasts, influencers, affiliates).
- Background in growing CPG, health, or biotech brands.
- Store setup and management experience in Shopify, TikTok Shop, and Amazon.
- Ease with building data visualization and attribution models.
- Well-versed in workflow automation tools such as Zapier and Asana.

- Fully onboarded with a deep understanding of ZBiotics’ brand, customers, and product portfolio.
- Established strong relationships across Brand, Ecommerce, Creative, Product, Data, and Retail teams.
- Completed a comprehensive audit of digital channels, agencies, and media mix performance.
- Delivered a 90-day action plan with clear growth priorities, KPIs, and testing roadmap.
By Month 6:
- Implemented repeatable and scalable CAC efficiency and retention improvements.
- Introduced new experimentation frameworks and optimized core funnel performance.
- Implemented AI and automation tools that improve efficiency and personalization.
- Delivered measurable progress toward quarterly growth goals across DTC and Amazon.
- Assumed ownership of at least one department or company-level goal for 2026.
By Year 1:
- Built a predictable, data-informed digital growth engine that scales efficiently.
- Partnered with Brand and Creative to produce high-performing, insight-driven campaigns.
- Tangibly strengthened retention and loyalty programs–driving repeat purchase and advocacy.
- Supported retail expansion with digital activations that boost awareness and velocity.
By Year 2:
- Established ZBiotics as a best-in-class digital brand in its category.
- Scaled digital programs to support a growing product portfolio and international markets.
- Embedded AI, analytics, and automation as core enablers of growth strategy.

This position may be required to travel to attend occasional ZBioneer or external events.
The base salary for this position is $190,000 per year, and will include additional equity. A presented offer may be higher, depending on qualifications and experience.
